Getting Started

Welcome to Ninja Uptime.

This guide will walk you through the basics of setting up monitoring, understanding how the platform works, and getting your first target online.

What You'll Learn

By the end of this section, you will:

  • Understand how monitoring works in Ninja Uptime
  • Create and configure targets
  • Set up alerting
  • Know how to respond to incidents

Core Concepts

Before getting started, it helps to understand a few key concepts:

Targets

Targets are the endpoints you want to monitor (websites, APIs, or services).

Checks

Ninja Uptime continuously checks your targets at a defined interval to verify availability and performance.

Alerts

Alerts notify you when something goes wrong based on your alert configuration.

Incidents

An incident is created when a target fails a check and remains open until the issue is resolved.

Typical Workflow

Most users follow this setup process:

  1. Create a target
  2. Configure alerting
  3. Monitor status and incidents
  4. Share status via status pages (optional)
