Monitors
Monitor is showing as down, but the service is up
Possible causes:
- Incorrect URL or target configuration
- DNS resolution issues
- Firewall blocking requests
- SSL certificate problems
How to troubleshoot
- Verify the URL or target is correct
- Check if the service is accessible from a browser
- Confirm SSL certificate validity
- Review monitor settings and retry a test check
Monitor is not running
Possible causes:
- Monitor is disabled
- Interval is too long
- System delays
Fix
- Ensure the monitor is active
- Verify interval settings
- Wait for the next scheduled check
Incidents
Incident is still open after the issue is fixed
Possible causes:
- Monitor has not run again yet
- Intermittent failures still occurring
Fix
- Wait for the next check cycle
- Confirm the service is consistently healthy
- Manually resolve the incident if needed
Too many incidents are being created
Possible causes:
- Flapping service (up/down frequently)
- Very short check intervals
- Misconfigured monitor thresholds
Fix
- Increase check interval
- Stabilize the service
- Review monitor configuration
Alerts
Not receiving alerts
Check the following:
- Alert policy is assigned to the monitor
- Notification method is configured correctly
- Email address or destination is valid
Debug steps
- Open an incident
- Review Alert Deliveries
- Check for:
- failed
- queued but not sent
Alerts are failing
Possible causes:
- Invalid email or webhook
- Delivery provider issues
Fix
- Verify recipient details
- Check delivery logs
- Retry after fixing configuration
Status Pages
Cannot create a status page
Cause:
- No account selected
Fix
- Select an account from the top navigation
- Try again
Status page is not visible publicly
Possible causes:
- Page is set to private
- Page is inactive
Fix
- Enable Active
- Set visibility to Public
Users cannot access private status page
Possible causes:
- User not invited
- Incorrect email
Fix
- Go to Visibility
- Add the user via Invite viewer
- Confirm correct email address
Users
User did not receive an invite
